What's great about it: Ease of use.
What's not so great: N/A
Sold off all of my other media devices and replace them with this little wonder. I purchased 1 last year and never looked back. I have one in every room plus an extra for traveling. Love the fact I can use my smart phone, tablet, or even my computer to cast to any room in the house. The topper is I can even take it on vacation connect it to my hot spot and stream my videos from my Synology NAS anywhere in the world. Awesome just awesome!!!

What's great about it: External protection
What's not so great: Not a magnetic cover
I have always had good luck with Targas covers for my iPads the only ding I can give this is it wasn't a magnetic cover like my other viewscape is for my iPad3. Maybe the iPad Air is just to new and they haven't made one yet.

What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Everything
I thought for a moment that this was a good buy but shortly after the main installation the problems began. Setup was easy but after about 10min the mouse would just move on its own then it wouldn't communicate with the bluetooth adapter so I thought ok maybe the batteries were bad. I replaced them only to have the devices not work anymore. I didn't return the mouse because it was only $10 and it wasn't worth the gas to drive down there and back home. Learn from my lesson stay away! You have been warned.

As someone who uses DLNA devices a lot I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of use with the new revamped Roku 3.
Even though I gave up the direct DLNA capabilities I gained the ability to use the native products PLEX and Synology's DS VIDEO. I can now stream my video libraries from anywhere there is a internet connection.

what is the monthly fee, if any???
No cost for the chromecast other then the original purchase of the chromecast its self. As for the channels there are premium services but there are many many free ones as well.
