Can I transfer Disney movies from desktop to SD card to tablet?

I am looking for a tablet that my child can watch mainly Disney movies and play kids games. I was thinking about getting a 64 GB ipad mini but then I saw this Samsung Galaxy tablet that has a SD card for storage. I was wondering if I can transfer Disney movies from my desktop to the SD card and watch them on the Samsung Galaxy tablet as long as I have the Disney movie app on it.
Yes you can to the limits of your ad card, and if you have a digital copy. Or use an OTG. Cable with power in and connect to a sub hard drive, or a thumb drive
