Just upgraded to the new tivo from the last model. This is much faster. Netflix is usable and the guide and animations work in real time. The rf remote is great. Tivo is still much better than the comcast box.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Please clarify

If I were to buy a TiVo Roamio can I get local broadcast programming by just having an Internet connection? The information is a bit confusing and don't want to end up buying TiVo then having to subscribe to a cable package too. I might as well just get cable tv.
The base model can support over the air signals. The more expensive models don't support over the air signals. You will still need an antenna to connect to the tivo as well as an internet connection.
