I was sold because of the song "If you want to sing out, sing out" from the movie "Harold and Maude". One of my favorite movies and his music is one of the reasons! Also many more classics, and a couple I haven't heard.

The funniest thing was that the cashier was jealous that I found this CD in the bin. She says she checks it every day and never saw it. And she is a throwback as a 20 something. Says her grandfather turned her on to these songs. I was impressed she listens to and buys CD's.
Best Buy - bring CD's back into the store!!!!!

I don't have any of their albums, so I am glad to have this for about 4 or 5 good songs. I can skip through the others if I want. I've only heard it on Random with 5 other CD's. Haven't listend all the way through yet.

I am using it as a place to store my phone while I drive. I already have bluetooth so I could just lay it on the seat, but it gives my a place to put it. I may turn it horizontal and use it for my Magellan GPS unit.

I didn't think the player could make a difference, and I don't have the special connection for the superior sound, but it really does sound fuller! Just replaced my Sony (as so many others have said, because it died) and plugged it in.
I read the instruction book and recommend it, I noticed lots of things people reviewed as bad, that you can find in there. For instance I noticed the green light can be turned off. I don't think the Random takes as long as some complain about. All in all, I'm very happy and I listen to music a lot more now.
Just miss a couple of things from my Sony. No volume control on the remote! And it's very disconcerting to load the CD's. They don't go in 1 - 6. They can go two at a time, but not in order. Hard to know which one is in which slot. Same thing with taking them out. Buttons are not very intuitive on the unit. The "open" should be easy to get to as you use that and "disc skip" which is right under it, the most.
But definitely buy it if you have CD's. Now if Best Buy would just keep selling the CD's themselves I'd be happier!

I'm not ready to drop this one to see how it does, but I'm sure it will bounce. The only thing I don't like is that my battery compartment is covered and it now makes it hard to plug it up. It takes two hands and some "fanagling".

This is the 12th Grammy Album I've bought and I have to say there are very few songs I love. I play them all the time because they are always the best of the previous year. Not my taste this time.

I was really looking forward to these duets. I love Barbra and I love show tunes so I was very excited to get this. I listened twice and will probably give it to my father. It's (almost) all before my time, and I'm 63.

I need to play songs to dance to that I have my students pick from for a class I teach. All I have to do is have the Grammy album of the previous year and there's always something on there. Highly recommend it.

I sometimes have people over and put a song on to dance to. All I have to do is pick up one of my Grammy albums and it will have something great to dance to. I also can listen to it over and over as it is, or include it with other CD's I play on shuffle and know I'll enjoy all the songs when they play.
I like the fact that this year's has much fewer Rap songs. There's only one I need to skip on this album.

Are the adjustments for bass, treble, etc. preset...I hope not.

I think they must be because there are no controls. But it's really good. People says it gets those mid-range sounds and that may be why it sounds so much better than my Sony.

what kind of amp do i need for this cd player. Onkyo - 6-Disc CD Player - Black-Front_Standard Onkyo - 6-Disc CD Player - Black Model: DX-C390(B)SKU: 6762924 and what kind of speakers.

I have a JVC, but I don't think it matters. Don't worry about that special connection. It sounds good with regular RCA connection.
