Use it in my car, so it has been beaten up pretty good. Now having some issues. Need to jiggle it just right to get the phone to charge.
Like the lights that let you know it is charging.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love the fact that it will search all available services for a show. Netflix, Hulu, Vudo, cable... Whatever you've got, TiVo will find it. Plus, since you get a credit from the cable company for having your own equipment and you don't have to pay for theirs, the service pays for itself.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Please clarify

If I were to buy a TiVo Roamio can I get local broadcast programming by just having an Internet connection? The information is a bit confusing and don't want to end up buying TiVo then having to subscribe to a cable package too. I might as well just get cable tv.
No.

You either need a cable package or an HD Antenna setup. If you don't want the cable, you need to research what HD channels are available over the air in your area and make sure you buy the right Roamio for your needs. One does over the air and the rest are cable. Don't know why they didn't make a box to do both, but they don't.

Comcast connectivity

I want to replace my 2 rented Comcast devises will the TiVo roamio plus dvr work on 2 tv's in different rooms?
Also does it take a Comcast smart/descramble card that I have to pay Comcast for in order for the TiVo to be activated and work?
The DVR by itself will only work on one TV. You would need a romio remote to connect the second TV. But you can stream to mobile devices with the Romio Plus.

Yes, you need a Comcast card. But, Comcast will give you a $2.50/mo credit for bringing your own equipment. So, you don't pay them anything for the card, they pay you. And you only need one card. The extra Roamio remote units you might want to get will connect directly to the Romio Plus, no card needed. 1 Roamio Plus will support up to 12 Roamio remote units.

Is the remote IR or RF?

Older units were IR, the newest products are RF. So it is specific to the unit you are looking at.
