Bought this to pair with a Lenovo laptop that does not have an optical drive. Works just like any other CD/DVD ROM drive. Easy plug and play with Windows 8.

SD card readers are hit and miss with laptops. Some have them, and some do not. My office laptop does not, and that is the reason for this purchase. Easy plug and play for SD cards to USB. Serves its purpose very well.

Bought this laptop for college. good for writing papers, reading online material. Streams netflix, hulu plus well. Battery life is mediocre, that's why I only gave it 4 stars. Flexible screen 2-in-1 option is handy for reading in bed. Good laptop for the basics. No frills, just a good serves it's purpose laptop.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Is this Memory Card Reader the same as a Flash Drive? If so wat's the capacity of it?

No, this reads SD cards, mini, micro, etc. I assume if you leave the SD card plugged into this adapter it would work as a thumb drive.
