The class is a measure of data transfer speed. Compatibility with Windows is determined by the reader you use so see try to get more info on that. In general SD cards are broken down into SD (<2GB), SDHC (4-32GB), SDXC (64GB+) so if your reader can read one 32GB card it should do fine with another but there may be a maximum size that it can communicate with i.e. it may not be able to use a 64GB card even if it is from the same manufacturer and series as a 32 it has no problems with.
