So I've compared this with my Astro A-50 headphones that I've had for over a year now. So far, so good! It's pretty self explanatory on the technical parts as it did come out to whatever I expected. Although I do have a PS4, I have this on an XBOX One and my PC going through USB and digital outputs. For PC via USB, its so-so. The astro A50 headphones put out a better sound quality for sure, and hopefully, Turtle Beach will give an update that takes advantage of the sound processing via USB. Optical via PC does send out a better signal and quality. Now for my Xbox one, it's a little tricky because you have to use the headset adapter. Even though this is wireless, Xbox lacks the functionality of having a wireless headset with the Elite 800, since a cable has to come between the headset adapter and the headphones to use with a mic. Some Cons - the firmware/software is a bit buggy. I've ran into a problem with the headphones not responding, but did a reset (hold the mic button for more than 5 seconds) and it started working again. Also, I'm not sure what it is, but I would run into some optical sound issues with clicking and noise at certain times when using the optical cable. It's quite annoying and had to unplug/replug the optical cable. I honestly thing it's just a software issue. All in all, it's a great pair of headphones compared to what's out there (Steelseries, Astro, etc.) in terms of quality, technology, and design.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Is this at all compatible with XBOX as well?

Will this work on the XBOX 360 using the bluetooth adapter and/or on the XBOX One using the adapter for it?

Will work with a headset adapter and correct settings on your xbox one. Pretty sure it will be the same on a 360 as well. Keep in mind, this means you have a cord hanging out of your headset and into your controller, but it will work.

PS4 controller cord?

Does this require the 2.5mm to 3.5mm cord from the PS4 controller to the headset, or is it fully wireless via bluetooth?

It has a provided cable, and you can use it via bluetooth.

Hows the mic quality?

For those of.you that have the headset.for ps4 or.pc.or whatever, how's the mic quality?

Mic quality is okay, and definitely better than the Astro A50. It's internal, meaning there are no extensions outside of the headset. The mic doesn't have a volume setting but it has presets, that are adjusted (soft to loud). I've set it to loud and no ones complained about me communicating via in game.

Does this headset work with music players on a cell phone

Will the headset be able to play music from a smart phone if connected via Bluetooth or wired connection?

Definitely, via bluetooth and or the provided cable that connects on the headset to your phone!

Will there be a Turtle Beach Elite 800X specifically for the Xbox One?

If so, how before it is expected to be released?

This will work with your Xbox one. I will do a YouTube (search for dbelgaming) video on setting it up soon, but you will need to purchase a xbox one headset adapter ($20 MSRP?)

does this work on the pc flawlessly?

Wondering as I had bought ear force tangos from turtle beach late last year and despite them saying it would work it was plagued with issues.

It will work, but the sound quality is degraded for some reason. Turtle Beach hasn't made a good driver to take advantage of the sound processor in the unit, I believe. If your PC has an optical output, it's definitely a must to use that over USB.
