I've relied upon my built-in Super Drive on my iMac for all of my DVD & CD needs, and have never really thought about Blu-Ray until I wanted to start backing up my discs. So I did some research and price comparisons before landing on this little amazing machine. It doesn't get any easier: plug and go! I use Handbrake (there's great instructions out there on how to make it "see" your BR discs) and it works like a charm. The unit is plastic but incredibly small and solid feeling. The eject button is a bit small (my only issue) but I also have large hands / fingers.

My MacBook Air goes with me everywhere: home, travel, and from job to job. I've always relied on the built-in Wi-Fi or the wired network connector on my external Thunderbolt display, but my newest job has me working with the MacBook Air sans display and they have terrible Wi-Fi throughout the building. If you travel (alone or with someone else) this thing is unbeatable. Allows you to stream movies, music, photos, etc via its own Wi-Fi network to your iPad or iPhone. Multiple parties can watch stuff at the same time even! Plus, it's so small you can turn it on, connect, and then throw it in your shirt pocket and forget all about it for your entire flight. I've even used it to watch movies on the LCD televisions in my hotel rooms on business trips, which is definitely an added bonus! Works flawlessly for me, charges fast and lasts a long time, and is definitely a must-have device for the entertainment starved traveler.

There's not a whole lot to it: it's a great BT stylus designed for even the least creative of us (that's me) to take advantage of the great powers built in to the iPad (and the drawing / design apps out there.) I've been using it with the Paper.app and it's great: took a photo of my backyard and used the Pencil and Paper.app to sketch out design ideas for an upgrade while standing there with a beer. Doesn't get better than that!

I've burned through my share of universal remotes, and this is hands down the best remote I've ever owned. It was a breeze to set it up with my TV, receiver, AppleTV, and Playstation 3. The setup did take a while since some of the default buttons (especially for the AppleTV) didn't make sense to me. But now that I've taken the 15-20 minutes to go through and customize each devices buttons to my liking, this is the perfect remote. Small, but not too small, and very comfortable to hold / use. Works flawlessly every time. Finally!!!

Made the move back to Apple in 2008 and have never looked back since. The tight integration between hardware and software makes Apple computers, OS X, and their entire ecosystem the most pleasant experience for working, playing, and living. The 13" MacBook Pro has a lot of horsepower under the hood but in a small, light, and compact form factor. Everything is well thought out in the design of this laptop, and nothing feels cramped or forced. This has been and will continue to be my go-to machine.

I'm an old retired DJ from way back and I wanted to get back into it. The technology of DJing has come a long way from my early days of turntables and CDJs. I was drawn to the Z1 because it would work with both my iPad & my iMac at home.
Like all the Native Instruments gear in my arsenal, it's simple to plug-and-play. I unboxed it, plugged in the USB, fired up Traktor and was mixing right away. This mixer works flawlessly with both machines.
The knobs are solid and turn smoothly, while the crossfader glides easily and quickly. There are not a lot of controls to mess with on this mixer, but that's one of the things that I like most about it: start-stop tracks, cue, mix, EQ, and that's pretty much it!
Another solid piece of equipment from Native Instruments, definitely glad that I picked one up.

Bought this to replace a 4 year old Belkin wireless base station & 4-port router. The Belkin had a clunky web-based interface and was notorious for freezing every so often (requiring a reboot to get back online.) Got tired of that and decided to pick up one of these: WOW! 2 months in and the thing is rock solid with strong, steady signal throughout the entire house. Flawlessly handles multiple connections at different speeds with nary a dropped connection. And it's such a beautiful piece of equipment, I feel bad putting it in the office -- feel like it should sit on the mantle!

What's great about it: Design, sound quality
I bought these (a pair) to use as my new center channel speaker (wired in parallel) because they fit perfectly in the cubbies of my existing entertainment cabinet. They are designed to be rear speakers in a home theater, and are AWESOME in that regard. The unique design of these speaker gives a wide dispersion of the sound field, meaning that those sounds coming through the speaker achieve an amazing breadth and depth making it seem like you really are in that haunted castle or on that battlefield (depending on what movie you're watching.)
Now, as I mentioned, I purchased them to use as a center channel. They are GREAT in this set up as they produce a wider frequency spectrum than most "traditional" center channels. Dialogue is crystal clear, sound effects sound great, and music sounds full. There is a a lack of bass frequencies, as would be expected, so keep that in mind if you are looking for full-frequency book shelf type speakers. However, in my house, this doesn't matter since they are part of a complete setup with full-range speakers and sub.
I'd highly recommend these.

darcicat -- depends on how much of that is wired vs. wireless. I would recommend the Apple AirPort Extreme base station for its strong wireless performance and support for multiple wireless bands. It has USB and Gigabit ethernet connections built-in, so you could plug in the printer and network drives directly to the unit, making them accessible to all the other wireless devices on your network. I have a smiler set-up in my house, only I use an 8-port switch connected to one of the AirPort's Gigabit ports (my house has multiple Gigabit ethernet ports installed and they all connect through the 8-port switch.)

It is not advisable according to Samsung, but you can do it. If you like crushed ice in particular, this would be a good workaround.
