Sonos - CONNECT:AMP 110W Class D Amplifier
Sonos Connect Amp: Part music streamer and part amplifier, this device lets you use your favorite speakers with Sonos multiroom audio components. Don't throw away old speakers; give them new life.

The connect:amp while pricey is priceless for those of us who have the Sonos bug...as they say. This allows you to easily connect your existing non-Sonos speakers (that we spent a ton of money on back in the day or that we had installed in our walls or ceilings) to work seamlessly with the rest of the Sonos system. Love it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have a SONOS Soundbar and Sub. Don't want to use Play 1's for rear. Can this amp with wired speakers be set up for rear surround sound speakers?

You can connect a complimentary pair of speakers to your surround sound TV system, but they will not act like true rear surround speakers. I had B&W in-ceiling speakers as part of my old component system and now use them in conjunction with my soundbar and sub, but it's not the same thing. I hooked up a pair of 1's as "surround speakers" and enjoyed them until I sacrificed them to other uses throughout the house (bathroom and garage). I'll buy another pair of 1's eventually to add them back. Hope this helps...although you are already hooked.
