What's great about it: voice commands
What's not so great: bigger then what she was used to.
She loves her new phone. The voice commands and voice to text & text to speech help her keep her eyes on the road. My personal pet peeve. A little too big for her hand but she is coping well.

app invasion

how do i prevent the onslaught of unwelcomed stored apps that appear constantly runnimg down the battery on my S4...the apps killer works for a minute or two but within a minute they are back running again ...good grief
I had to have the Verizon guy kill them for me. There is a list of start-up apps that come on when the phone powers up or self-recover if you try to turn them off. Good luck.

Can you read the screen in bright sun?

I use my phone on a boat while wearing Polaroid sunglasses. The Casio I have now is impossible to read. Will a Samsung 4 be better?
Probably not. The display and glasses are both polarized so the screen will look very dim or black with your sunglasses on. Look for the auto-dimming setting and turn it off when on the water. That may help.

How does the phone I order off of Bestbuy.com get activated?

Thinking of ordering a phone of their site and have it delivered to my home. How does it get activated? Do i have to take it in to a Best Buy retailer or to a Verizon store?
We just activated it over the phone. Backed up all the data and phone books then just followed the instructions. Upgraded from a Droid 2, both thru Verizon.
