Works great for what I needed it for, just pluged the old hard drive in the enclosure and pluged the USB into the laptop, it did its thing and I could read an write to the files on the hard drive.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hewlett Packard (HP) Laptop Hard Drive does not fit enclosure.

HP HDX Premium Series Laptop, 250GB Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive - 7;200 RPM; 2.5in form factor; 9.5mm thick will not fit in the Dynex enclosure. The device carton states it will support up to 9.5mm drives. Does anyone have a work around?
are you sure that you got just the hard drive an not the hard drive with the cover on it, some of them have a shiny cover over them with 4 tiny screws holding it on
