I bought this drive to replace the one In my iMac, as this Seagate model have the same exact sensor interface configuration as my old original HD.
Drive is fast and quiet.
Highly recommended for your iMac upgrade.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have a 2002 insignia computer windows xp pentium 4 cpu

28o ghz 540 mb of ram what hard drive would be best and what memory card
Maybe an Hard Drive with IDE Interface, unless it have a SATA already.
A 250GB or 320GB would be best.

As for the Memory, maybe 1GB upgradeable with PC133 sdram Memory.

Can I use this internal storage drive (Model # ST310005N1) for backup of the main computer data?

Yes. You can also use it as a backup drive - If you have an external enclosure, just install the drive in the enclosure and use it as a backup.
