What's great about it: Size, Feel, Quality is Exceptional
What's not so great: Battery power as usually a little less desirable
In my past experience this fits the apple quality. Battery life as usual with iPhones is a little less than desirable but this can be expected with how I use the phone. Picture quality and overall feel in the hand is spot on.

Overall after getting this thing together it gets the job done. Negative things I can say is when putting the top and bottom together it doesn't go together easy. It also doesn't secure properly. The top does bow or lean forward a little. Recommend to secure to the wall somehow. Great storage though.

What's great about it: Thick Coord - Durable
What's not so great: Cost- Although it's inline with Apple's pricing
I got this product because of the lights inside. It's kinda neat and helps illuminate the inside of my car at night. Otherwise it's a durable coord and charges efficiently.

Is the cable supposed to stay lit up the entire time it is charging?

Yes. Mine does the same thing. As long as the cable is plugged in it will illuminate. I did notice when it is unplugged it will not light up.
