What's great about it: Easy to set up and easy to see!
What's not so great: Nothing
I just upgraded from a 6-year-old Garmin StreetPilot to my new Nuvi 52LM and what a difference! A huge screen, easy to use and not only does it tell me exactly what lane to get in, it shows me a picture of the exit coming up. I drive extensively for my job and this thing is a godsend. And the lifetime maps...awesome!
This product has... Large/easy to see screen, Easy menus, Free map updates

What is the difference between Garmin 50LM and newer 52LM?

I'm not an official authority on this, but I just bought the 52LM and my mom just bought the 50LM and we see no real difference between the two. From as near as I can tell, the 52 is just a new model number for what is essentially the same device.
