I went from a larger laptop (Lenovo) to this ASUS 13.3 because I wanted something lighter, but capable of all the things I could do on the LENVO at much lighter weight.

My 2.5tb hdd is formatted , after that it transfer speed is very very slow, accessing the drive is also slow. It freezes for few mins and it works. Again if i copy any file it freezes. Please help me what i need to do to make it work properly???

do you have to activate the touch screen?
when i rotate my screen and i want to use it as a tablet it won't let me use it i have to use the touch pad? is there a button or something?
NO activation. It is there once the desktop is there.

Is the shell/wrist rest/keyboard aluminum or plastic? I know that the top shell is aluminum.

viewing angle
it was mentioned that the screen has a very narrow viewing angle, this means to me that one must be essentially in a straight line to the screen - tip it forward or backwards and and the view dissipates to nothing. can someone verify this for me?
Tipping forward and backward changes ANY screen of ANY laptop. But you can still see fairly well. My wife does not know ANYTHING about computers but many times I show her pictures when I sit directly in front and she on the side. She never complains that she cannot see.

yes, a 500 GB disk drive. Totally quiet to my ears.

Does this support multiple displays?
I read on Intel's site that the graphic card will support 3 monitors, but some manufacturers don't make this feature functional.
