I bought an expensive antenna and a low-cost antenna at Best Buy - neither version was amplified and both performed almost the same, but poorly. I took them both back and bought this amplified Terk model and it works very nicely and was about the same or slightly better priced than previous expensive version that I ended up returning.

I actually like less than 5 miles from most of the TV transmitters in Detroit, so I thought I could get away with a less expensive antenna. The cheap one did a decent job, but the sound was choppy. So I returned it and bought this "premium" Antennas Direct model that wasn't much better, but was nearly 3x the price. Which I also returned. In the end I bought an amplified TERK and it does great.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

what is the mile range to pick up local channels

I live less than 5 miles from a large array of TV transmitters for Detroit and this model performed poorly. I took it back and bought an amplified model and the picture and sound come in nicely and I picked up a few more channel options.

can this product be hook up for channels 8,6,,12,33,45?

Assuming that those are Richmond stations and you live in Richmond, then it might work. Make sure your TV has a digital tuner connected or built-in. And you may also want to consider using an amplified antenna - it worked better for me than this model.

Will I have to disconnect the dish network for this product to work?

No, you'd just switch the TV input to antenna. That should work as long as your TV has a digital built-in or connected.

can I connect it to my coax cable and feed more than one tv

Yes, but do your TVs have a built-in digital tuners? If they do, you're probably good. If not you might have to run the feed to a separate tuner and then to your TVs.

Will this work inside a motor home?

I have a motor home and would like to have an antenna mounted inside the motor home, it would be inside a cabinet out of sight. Will it still pick up stations??

Probably. But instead of this model, consider an amplified version - like the Terk brand that Best Buy sells. It worked better for me.

does it work on regular tv's, or does it have to be an HD tv?

I think so, but you'll probably need a digital tuner unless your TV has one built-in. The Best Buy TV people can probably answer that better than me.
