Beyond being reasonably priced, this phone, but for being "head-set corded", has it all. Large lighted display (when in use), numbers & key pad. Loaded with features of every kind. At present, purchased two & both phones set to "answer on" can be used at same time; message feature, etc., work on both.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Battery backup?
Amish family wants a phone with loud ringer and battery back up

No, there is no battery back-up. Must be plugged into electric wall outlet; this adapter is included. Ringer is loud set @ maximum (for a person w/normal hearing ability), with lowering ringer feature, and can be totally muted. Lots of flexibility with this phone.

I'm looking for a phone like this one. The only thing I don't need the answering machine. I need caller I.D. and large screen and large numbers and in white. It has to be for a wall mounted. Thank you
You can wall mount (piece included). You can turn off the answering machine at any time. DO NOT purchase AT&T phone w/out answering feature. You can not read the caller ID part, nor display; etc., all way too small, Waste of money,
