I have been debating buying this graphic novel since before the Godzilla movie came out. I just couldn't justify the $30 price tag. Getting it for $3 with the purchase of the Blu-Ray was a no-brainer.
The story helps set the scene for the movie and fills in a lot of the background, but I was disappointed that the other monsters dealt with in the book were not the MUTOs from the movie or even the one that the MUTOs hatched inside. That is the reason why it lost a star.

I have been a fan of Godzilla since childhood; I am looking at three different Godzilla figures arrayed around my desk right now. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.
As far as this disk set goes, it is the best one to buy. I have watched it in 3D a couple of times and it does not disappoint. Not quite as awesome as seeing it in 3D Imax, but close. For just a few dollars over the 2D version, it is worth it just to see the tsunami scene, let alone the fights.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: 3D effects are impressive
What's not so great: Not as cute as the first
We got this movie to watch on our new 3D TV. It was a lot of fun and the visuals are enjoyable. The first movie was surprising in how it really showed Gru falling in love with the kids, but now that it has happened they go for a weird, telegraphed plot about some famous villain that we never heard of.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Visuals are unbeatable
What's not so great: Plot is predicable, Lead actor is a little wooden
The movie is one of the most popular of all time, so there is no need to go over it again. We purchased this as a gift to my father when he got a 3D TV. It was amazing and really showed off the visuals. I had seen "Avatar" in an IMAX theater and viewing it again on a TV did not diminish the effect at all. We liked it so much that we got a 3D TV ourselves and picked up the movie again. My favorite things are the 3D displays the characters use, they look so amazing!

What's great about it: Easy to use, work well, simple battery change
What's not so great: Difficult to turn on sometimes
We have three sets of these glasses for use with our Samsung 40" 3D TV. We've reviewed the TV, so this is just about the glasses. The alternative to this specific model is the kind with a rechargeable battery. I have not had the best luck with rechargeable batteries, so we wanted to simply replace the battery when it dies. We've had them for a couple of weeks and haven't had to replace the batteries yet. The picture quality is excellent.
When you want to use the glasses you have to press the button on the top until the TV detects them which is shown by a LED light inside the button. It is not easy to press the button or to see the light, but you get used to it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Easy to use, price, picture quality
What's not so great: Does not include 3D glasses
I have been looking for a small 3D TV for a while now to play video games (both PC and PS3) and watch 3D movies. I don't want something huge to replace the TV in the family room. This one needs to go into the office and be viewed from between 5 and 8 feet away.
My first thought was a 3D PC monitor, but they are very expensive, small, and all but the oldest models require you to buy a 3D kit from Nvidia for another $100+. Most 3D monitors are not used for 3D viewing, but instead are used for the 120Hz refresh rate.
Most 3D TVs are 50"+ and have tons of features, but if you look you can find a few smaller. Sam's Club usually has a 40" 3D model in either Vizio or LG for $400. I was finally set to purchase one of those when BestBuy sent me a price alert e-mail telling me that this TV, superior in quality to the Sam's Club models, was down to the same price. I immediately purchased one.
Conveniently the 3D glasses were on sale at the same time.
I got the TV home and was able to connect to my PC and PS3. I found out that my PC didn't have a video card compatible with the 3D features, but the PS3 worked flawlessly. Press the 3D button on the remote and the TV goes into 3D mode. The PS3 immediately notices and it too switches into 3D mode. Press the button on top of the glasses until you see the acknowledgement on the TV screen and you are good to go.
I've played all of the Batman Arkham games, Injustice, and even Mickey Mouse's Castle of Illusion without a problem. The Cars 2 game looked unbelievably good but crashed during a load screen. Same thing happened with Lego Batman 2.

which 3d glasses are compatible with this tv

We use the SSG-4100GB and SSG-5150GB/ZA simply because we prefer to replace the batteries instead of having to replace the glasses when the rechargeable batteries die. As these are the ones available at our local BestBuy on the shelves, then I would expect that any of the ones you can buy now would be fine.
