battery life is not perfect but phone is super responsive. liked it so much ive bought it twice

Despite the slightly awkward volume placement could not be happier with this phone. Large wide but not slippery BEYOND STUNNING display takes great photos. Easy customization although volume issues continue to plague me (sometime folks complain I sound muffled). Great phone highly recommend particularly over the Motorola which has similar specs as this leaves you with considerable more useable memory once operating system is installed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Why is this phone only $1.00? I dont know much about cell phones

This is prolly gonna sound like a stupid question to most so bear with me. thanks
the phone has been out since late 2012. there are 2 newer versions of this out that cost more $ but dont bring anything new to the table. this is a great phone at the price

Can I get this phone, without extending my current AT&T contract?

yes but you must pay full price for it (i did this a few months ago /c my 3 died and i didnt want a new contract...didnt love any of the phones out then and the new galaxy wasnt coming for months)
