I love everything about this phone except the fact that the micro sd slot is useless. If you need a lot of storage and don't like using the cloud then don't buy this phone.

does this phone really require a data plan?
I need a new phone but only want to use it for calls and text messaging, I can care less about the internet features, and is it possible to just bypass the data plan.
Not with Verizon. I tried to tell them that once and they said if the phone says requires data plan then you are SOL. My question to you is why buy a smart phone in the first place??? Get a flip phone!

viewing of sd card
How is the best way to view photos on a sd card not a micro sd away from the home computer?
They actually make little hand held viewers for use when not near a computer. Just Google hand held sd card viewer and I bet you get a ton of hits.
