Great for protecting the speaker from the elements, but you have to remove it for optimal sound. Would have been better to have a velcro removable cover to eliminate muffling effect.

Bought this for my girlfriend. Easily portable, uses Bluetooth and Aux jack. Perfect for day at the beach or picnic. I prefer the Harmon Kardon Studio Onyx for $80 more and better sound quality (it just is not as portable as the Bose).

I ended up returning this product because I have about 3 TB's that I wanted to back up. I intended to use this to play movies on my TV via USB, but opted for a 4 TB hard drive as a 2nd backup drive for all my files.

I enjoyed my speaker so much that I bought this for my sister's Christmas present. The best combo of sound, price, and design for Bluetooth speakers. The MSRP is $400+ and I have seen it on sale for $169-199 at Best Buy (purchased at $199). A problem with portable speakers is lack of bass and big room sound, however, this speaker satisfies both of those requirements. Works plugged in for AC power and wirelessly by battery. It uses Bluetooth only for connections (wish it had an aux input or wifi). If it had the ability to pair with another speaker and/or used WiFi, it would have no competitors. The speakerphone feature is a great way to make hands-free calls.

When using the Xbox One for simple tasks (Netflix, Amazon, Youtube, etc.) it is easier to use this than the controller. The advantage of the controller is more precise mouse control for the Microsoft internet browser and typing. The advantage of the remote is it's compact size, always on (controller shuts off) and it lights up to see the keys with any movement. The batteries are lasting me about 6 months so far.

Roku pass through.
Considering buying this but will be streaming movies, some of which are 5.1 surround. Now I don't want to "assume" incorrectly that this will play 5.1 surround sound. I actually do assume that it will but wanted some feedback prior to purchasing. Yes it's probably a dumb question and no I am not real tech savvy. :)
Yes, it runs anything up to 7.2. I only use 5.1 and it works well.

My video is no longer showing only audio
Is it covered under warranty, how do I req it
Have you tried only connecting to the receiver for audio out from your TV/Box? I do not run the HDMI pass through and have no problems.

Would I be able to hook up only 5 speakers?
I am interested in this receiver and realize the system is for a 7 speaker setup. However, with my setup I only need 5. would there be a problem if I only ran 5 speakers?
No problem, I run 5 speakers plus a sub-woofer and it sounds great. There's auto calibration with a wired microphone that makes it easily balanced. I just wrote a review so you can check it out.

how can i put music on my itunes from my cds
Buy a separate CD/DVD drive that is USB connected. If that's too inconvenient, would recommend a laptop with a CD/DVD drive. Not having one is a plus for this model due to the small size and light weight.
