We purchased this otterbox to put on my son's new tablet. We put otterboxs on everything that we have if they have a case for it.

My son loved this tablet. We have had it less than a month and he uses it on a daily basis. The kids mode is great with the option to switch over to normal mode. The only issue we now have is that having this tablet less than a month....it's already malfunctioned. It's fully charged but now won't turn on. Will have to be taking it back to best buy. Glad I purchased the warranty on it! But the manufacturers warrany should cove this.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love the size of the tablet! I never understood the smaller tablets bc you can't really see anything on them. If you like to see what you are doing you will love this tablet as much as I do.

Can Skype be downloaded and used on this device?

I want to get my daughter a tablets she can Skype with me wherever I'm at. I was wondering if this device can download and use Skype on here?
Yes this device can be used in kids mode and in normal mode. Skype can be downloaded in the apps store while in non kids mode.

Charging the tablet

Can this tablet be charged or does it run off batteries or have to be plugged in for the child to use it. Also, if chargeable what charger do yo suggest. Thanks!
Yes this tablet is charged. There isn't a place to put in battiers. A charger comes with the tablet when you purchase it.

How to change from kids mode to standard mode?

Got into the settings under the kids mode. There are 2 options (round selections on the screen) in the lower left hand corner of the screen when in kids mode. Choose the settings one and your option will be located there.

Can the Tab 3 Kids Edition be put in Airplane mode?

Yes. You will need to switch to regular mode (not kids mode) and the option is your settings.
