I recently purchased a Soundbar for one of my TVs and soon after purchased two Play:1’s to provide rear surround for TV and to also play stereo music. They work great for both and it’s very easy to switch from being rear surrounds to full stereo for music through the Sonos app.

My first Sonos speaker and it really has not disappointed. The only problem I had was getting my Samsung Smart tv remote to control the volume of it since the Samsung remote is RF and not IR. But I did get it to work rather quickly after reading a forum post. It sounds great for TV and will be adding either Play:3 or Play:5’s for my rears as I build towards a Sonos 5.1. I’ll likely go with the 5’s now since they were announced to have Airplay later this year.

I recently purchased the Space Gray HomePod after thinking about it for a few weeks, and finally pulled the trigger. I'm glad I did. Since I have many other Apple products, it was a no brainer. Even though it doesn't do as much as other smart assistants at the moment, I really think that it will in the future, with more HomeKit enabled devices and once AirPlay2 rolls out. This speaker really sounds great, and can go much louder than most people will even play it. But even at high volumes, it still sounds great with no distortion. Highly recommend for those that are already heavily entrenched within the Apple ecosystem.

I've wanted Hue bulbs for a long time, and recently bought the Hue White and Color Ambiance starter kit. I'm glad I did! Since then, I love them so much, I've purchased additional lights for the rest of the living room, kitchen, and family room. You'll likely want to get a Hue dimmer switch as well, but you don't need one as you can control everything for your phone or your voice as long as your Hue bridge is connected to your network and any of your smart voice assistants. I've used them with both a Google Home Mini and Apple HomePod and they work very well in either. I recently bought a second starter kit, just because it's the same price as buying 4 standalone bulbs, and you get another bridge, and right now, you also get the Hue Tap light switch ($50 value).

These chimes are great, though I wish they did come standard with the Ring Doorbell cameras. The setup is quick and easy and you can place them in whichever outlet you want to make sure you can hear either motion at your door, or if someone rings the doorbell. You can get set a snooze on the alerts, and quickly turn them on or off from the app if you'd like. You can also customize the alerts to many different sounds, though I like the standard alert sounds for both motion and doorbell rings.

We purchased a washer/dryer combo and needed to purchase new fill hoses to receive free delivery and installation. It's a good idea to get new fill hoses anyway, but they could likely be purchased slightly cheaper elsewhere.

When we moved into our home, we needed a washer and dryer, but didn't need all the bells and whistles. We purchased the matching pair of Amana washer/dryer, and they are both great for the price. The washer works as it should and has the presets we need. The end spin cycle can be a little noisy, but I believe that's fairly standard with washers, and our laundry room is in our garage so we can't really hear it at all anyway. It really speeds up the drying time as well helping to cut down on energy costs.

Will this unit work sitting on the floor?
Yes it will work on the floor as I have mine on the floor right now until I mount it to the wall. You will ideally want it to be the same height as your ears so that it sounds best, but I can say mine still does sound rather good being about 3 feet below where I’m sitting at the moment.
