I bought this to replace a xfinity gateway that I was renting. I'll recover the cost in 12 months. It also has many more features than the xfinity equipment: 2 PW protected channels, plus 2 public channels. I've set this router so that the public channels are converted to channels with PWs and we use them in our home offices and kitchen computer. The original PW channels are assigned to our kids with timers that shut off the wifi at set times each day (an excellent feature that xfinity's gateway didn't have.) Plus this NETGEAR unit has content filtering settings that tie into apps for each of the connect devices in the house. Trying to keep our kids off the adult X-rated web content as long as possible.

I bought this drive to back up each of my computers in my house as I upgraded them all to windows 10. The software was easy to install on each machine and backed up all required files flawlessly! The drive security is easy to set up and I plan to use this drive for long-term storage once all my windows 10 installs are complete!

I bought this to expand storage for my iPad Air & now use it every day. Great for moving all your favorite pics, videos, & files off of your mobile devices while still having access to them on the road & at home. Really easy to set up and use. Have used it to store movies for trips - my whole family can stream a different movie to their devices at the same time - everyone's happy! With the built in SD card reader, you can not only copy your images to the drive with a laptop, but you can preview the files on your mobile device & then use them in social media posts - great for events where you want to use a 'real camera' for high quality shots but don't want to lug around a computer. Overall a great product - I've demoed this device to several of my friends & all have bought one!

Can this replace my ATT modem?
Check ATT's website - they should have a page that lists the requirements for buying your own gear. Xfinity had a site that listed the make and model that they recommended.

Can you transfer photos and video from iPhone 6 plus directly to the drive to free up space on iPhone?
Going on vacation and need to have backup to transfer photos and video to free up iPhone storage.
Yes, you install the SanDisk app and then you can send files to the drive wirelessly. Recommend that you get as big a drive as you can afford.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS ITEM
WILL THIS WORK ON THE IPOD TOUCH ? can it connect to the home connection to the router to take with you on the go .
This will work on an iPod touch - you have to install the Sandisk app first. As for that networking, you can set it up as a pass-through router where it will connect to the SanDisk drive first and then if you want to go to the Internet, it will go through to your regular Internet connection wirelessly. Can the 32GB handle a larger memory card?
I believe so. The driver would just show another window for "SD card" - doesn't matter what the size is. Really for the price, I'd recommend getting the 64 GB model. You'll never regret having more space.
