Does this model have dual ice makers? One in the door and one in the freezer? Thank you.

No just in the door but there's a bucket in the freezer to store extra ice

All the lights on the display panel go out after a time, except the type of ice (cubed). Is this normal? My parents have basically the same model and they all go out. Thanks

I just purchased this refrigerator and had it delivered/installed. There is a bucket (of sorts) in the freezer on/in the pull-out drawer on top. Can this be used for ice cube storage?

Yes it's for ice cubes when u need extra just pour it there and let the bucket fill up again
