This is a good touch screen. Note that you can use it for extended desktop screen but you loose the touch feature.

will it work with a non-touch equiped laptop?

Will this touch screen function if I use it with a standard laptop that does not have a touch screen? The laptop has windows 7.
Yes it will work. The touch feature works with a usb cable that goes to your laptop. If you are planning to use it as a screen extension the touch won't work. The touch features will work on your main screen only
