Be warned - I am a novice at cameras. So all my claims should be filtered with this in mind.
Bought this "newer" GoPro version for my wife's dream sled dog vacation. The smaller design, single button to start recording were important features to us. Found out all controls can be accessed through a tedious menu on the camera or MUCH easier on the GoPro app downloaded to your phone. This app worked great, but you need to be used to pairing up devices to your phone.
We used a SanDisk - Extreme Plus 64GB microSDXC UHS-I Class U-1 Memory Card - Red/Gold. This recorded an hour of dog sledding at the 1080p Superview Mode taking up ~13GB. Battery was flashing low after being in the cold for an hour. I guess that is to be expected.
Did I mention I am a novice? So it turns out you do need to do some post process video editing to get the quality out of the video you take. The default quality is set for YouTube uploading, which looks awful in my opinion. Downloading the free GoPro Studio video editing software is a massive challenge. The website support links are not intuitive, dont seem to go anywhere half the time. It almost seems like the website has been hacked. I tried to find the software again on my laptop and could not find it. Maybe its just me...
Anyway, the software walks you through a simple 3 step editing process. The highest export quality does not seem to come close to what the website and commercials show. I suspect you REALLY need to know cameras and lighting and all that stuff to get top quality results. All the advanced controls are accessible, but remember... novice. Shouldn't be a big surprise I guess, but I was kinda hoping it would be click-click :) Final quality we got is nice but not jaw dropping.

We purchased this tablet for my 4 year old for Christmas 2015. I was encouraged by the included 1 year membership in the Amazon "Free Time Unlimited" and kid/parent controls. However there were multiple critical problems with this device
1.) It is common to "unlock" a tablet with a swipe when you turn it on. This device does not unlock on the first, second, or sometime tenth swipe. Terribly frustrating for an adult. I admit less so for my 4 year old who seemed to enjoy swiping over and over and over with increasing speed.
2.) TERRIBLE Child interface - The child profile is preloaded with an enormous amount of content - at least it looks this way. The child is exposed to hundreds of apps and things to do, but they must be downloaded individually. Tap on Minnie Mouse funtime and you wait... My 4yr old is not good at waiting for this. And of course she gets tired of waiting and then tries to launch other apps that are not loaded. Things domino from here...
3.) Once new content is downloaded, the spinning wheel never completes itself and allows the child to use it. You must restart the device for the new content to become accessible. Way too complicated and not kid friendly.
4.) Should you manage to enter an app or book, all controls to exit are hidden. There is no physical button or silkscreen touch button like on other tablets. It gives the device a clean look, but it is not intuitive to swipe down from the top just to reveal onscreen navigation controls to go back or exit. I could be trained to this interface quirk, but why...
4.) The final straw for me: There are no controls to move or organize any of the content or icons within kid mode. It is just a jumble of random apps, some downloaded, some not. I would have suffered through it if I could arrange a section for my daughter to know - this is what works - the rest needs to be downloaded and requires parental involvement.

We returned it and plan to purchase a normal Samsung tablet that now comes with a kid mode that looks much simpler to use and manage.
Sorry Amazon - great idea, but you missed the mark. The only positive thing about this product was the foam case.

I am not a fan of multi player focused first person shooters. I always seem to be the only one running around with a low level character firing a pea shooter. However, the solo campaign of this game is solid and each chapter/. planet requires a multiplayer cooperative mission to advance. A really good way to force you into multi player without feeling like a goof - you have the same goal. Extra content seems to always be unlocking with new challenges on old missions. Good way to keep it fresh. The only downside is a user manual is missing. Explanations of things must be hunted online or through the Bungie website (free account needed). Online content for more story lines adds another $35 as of August 2015. And a big Expansion - The Taken King - is expected in September. If you like first person shooters and have reservations about this game for some reason (like my hesitation concerning the multiplayer) - give it a go. The base game seems to be $20 everywhere now - due to the expansion coming soon. Instead of $60 for everything I say try it out for $20 and wait for the expansions to go on sale.

I tried the <$100 8" and 10" cheap tablets - and they were cheap. Those knock-off tablets have poor display resolution/ poor viewing angles/ and mine always lost wireless connection.
<<<So I figured Samsung should have these things figured out. I went with this PRO version for the improved graphics and I am VERY happy with it. Looks great. Runs everything fine, and never drops internet. No regrets.

I was ready to check out with my new SONY STR-DN1050 receiver when the Best Buy associate recommended I spend more $ on these connectors. I was VERY skeptical. I had never used these connectors - my old receiver had the press to open speaker wire connectors. He showed me the back of my new receiver and how it is really built for these connectors. So I went for it. Super glad I did. Connecting speaker wire to these new receiver connections would be a hassle without these banana connectors. The first time I tried inserting these I was a little alarmed at how hard I had to push, but once you get past the first few, it goes quick. I recommend them!

My SONY CDP-CX450 400 CD Changer died and it seems no one is making these anymore. Although tedious, I figured it was time to copy my music to my PC. The reaction from friends, family and Best Buy employees was that this was silly. "Everyone" said I should switch to a music service like Spotify or Pandora and be done with it. That seems silly to me - I have the music I want, I just need the access the 400 CD changer gave me. The kicker is no one could confirm if the network connection on modern receivers would allow me to connect to my PC and play music stored on my PC FROM the receiver remote control. I researched this SONY STR-DN1050 and the ONKYO TX-NR636. Both seem to allow for this and have all the forward looking connections and output for today's relevant technology snapshot in time. Of course these receivers also connect wirelessly to phones and tablets. In the end I went with SONY because it has the Apple Airplay (fast connection to Apple devices) and my wife has all her terrible music on her phone.
So did it work? - Yes! The menu interface on the TV screen to select Audio input (Home Network) is not fancy, but all my music on my PC was found without any hassle. Music is alphabetically searchable by band name/ album name/ or by song name. A little slow to use but clicks away from listening. I have not tried the streaming music services but it looks like they are easily accessible too. I hope this helps others in similar situations! I highly recommend this SONY STR-DN1050 receiver.

Can you use Chargeable backs?
I have the Energizer rechargeable station that came with 2 rechargeable packs. Bought it in 2015??? The recharge pack fits fine but not the cover with the window for recharging. The replacement battery cover for the back of the controller has 3 tabs and these do not fit on the Elite controller. Looks like all the new charging stations come with a single tab battery cover. Total bummer for me. Recommend that you check your battery cover.
