What's great about it: Good fit for a kid
What's not so great: Can hear what someone is listening too
I bought these for my son. He loves them. Uses with tablet ipod and phone. The new look is nice too. The drenched in color makes them look really attractive.

What's great about it: Easy to use and navigate. Good speed too.
I bought 2 of these for Chrismas for my children. They already have samsung phones, so they love the sync so they didnt have to get apps. They also love the size. Its real easy to hold in kids hands. They wanted ipads but i chose these for the price and turns out, this was a much better choice. They love them. Money well spent.

How does this compare with the Kindle Fire HD?

Its more of a computer that you can read on, rather than an ereader attempting to respond like a computer. Its faster and you can put any reading reading app on it. My kids just added their nook apps and havent touched their ereader since.
