I got this drive for am older laptop as a system drive and so far have no complaints. Easy to install, set up, and offers STUNNING performance. My laptop now gets boot times as low as 18 seconds.
I would recommend this to a friend!

For Laptops?

Do I have to buy something special to use it with my Desktop? I would buy the desktop version, but only Samsung direct has it, and its $50 more.

I have a iBuyPower computer, currently running a 128GB SSD. Wondering if the "for laptops" means anything.
The device will be compatible with your desktop. At most, the only thing you may have to buy is a mounting bracket so it will fit where your hard drives go, but if you don't want to buy one, it's really not necessary.
