Rocketfish™ - 3' Lighted Lightning Charge/Sync Cable - Multi
Charge your Apple® iPod®, iPhone® or iPad® or sync media and other files with this Rocketfish™ RF-LASC5W USB-to-Lightning cable, which features a lighted-cable design to indicate charging and syncing.

How many Amps will this cable carry/transmit?

I don't recall seeing anything on the package stating anything but,
probably not 5V 2A 10W as in the iPad charger, even though I've never had issues with any other USB device with that charger. Probably because those devices have good voltage regulators.
To be safe I'd stick tot he 5V 1A 5W iPhone style charger if you don't want a melted cable. Generally a device will only draw the current it "needs", a higher amperage supply at the same voltage won't 'force' more current that the device draws.
