Usb 3.0 marketing is totally bogus. The write performance is worse than usb 2.0, about 10 MB/s. I wish I read the online reviews before wasting my money.

I also considered the HP laser bluetooth mouse but this was 10 bucks cheaper @ $20. it runs on one battery and fits my palm perfectly. If you have bigger hand go with HP (needs 2 battery and bigger surface). hope it lasts.

This wifi tablet got the best specs for the price of $200 (sale price). To make it useful, you need a cover. There is severe lack of accessory for the pro. They sent me the cover for "Tab-S", which I had to return. Only one insignia cover was available at the local store for $40. I had to scour amazon for a flip cover under $10.
One thing of caution is to be very careful with the micro usb power connector when plugging in.

USB to play movies
If I have a movie on a USB drive, will it play with full volume and quality? i am looking to get it for work and we put a commercial on the USB and need to make sure it will play with volume. Thanks for your help!
sorry this tv doesn't have built in dlna or any kinda player. The usb is for powering your chromecast or tv diagnostic.

Motion smoothing feature, and can it be turned off?
Does this Insignia 40" TV have the motion smoothing feature that most TVs have these days, and if so can it be turned off? I've seen other HDTV's with motion smoothing turned on and I very much dislike the way it looks. I'm looking for a new TV and I'm considering this model so if it has motion smoothing and it can't be turned off then that would be a deal breaker for me. Thanks.
doesn't have anything like that. I simply turned the tv on and plugged my chrome cast to one of the two hdmi input, selected HDMI2 from the INPUT remote button. been watching ever since.

What do I need on my TV to get Netflix?
just buy a chrome cast.the easiest way to smart tv. I have a roku too. but with all the registration and credit cards bothered me too much.

What is the factory warranty on this tv?
Does the manufacturer warranty cover both parts and labor? I live in Oklahoma City, is there a place locally to get it serviced? Can I bring it to best buy or do I have to ship it to the manufacturer?
this is best buys in house brand. 1 yr should cover both parts and labour.

External MyCloud to TV
I have a WD MyCloud external hard drive connected to home network. I know with my Samsung TV I can access this hard drive to watch the movies on it using a Samsung wifi adapter. I would like to watch the contents of my hard drive on a Sharp TV that doesn't have wifi. Will this device allow me to access my network hard drive?
Most Probable answer is yes. It will make your tv part of the network.
My suggestion would be to use ES File Explorer to browse the files and ES Chromecast Plugin to cast the video to the TV. Provided that your wifi network is robust and a fairly recent android phone. There are a lot of apps out there for android but for ios it could be very different .
