If you are ok with everyone asking you "is this the new apple watch?" then you should be good using this watch, its better battery life than the Moto 360 which for now lasts me the whole day and still has 50-30% when putting it on the charger.
Integration with my Android phone is great and it is getting an upgrade anytime soon (Oct 15th for Android Wear 2.0)
the only thing missing for me is the audio feedback (found on Gear 2) but for the price difference i can do without it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

can it be a standalone music player without your phone.

If you go on a run without your phone can you connect a bluetooth headphones and load music to the watch to listen while you're out running?

gear live vs. gear 1 or 2

I would like to know what are the pros and cons of the GEAR LIVE compared to the GEAR 1 and 2?
I would say that Gear Live has the Android Wear OS which means it has Google Now ("OK Google") and the Gear 1 and 2 work with S Voice (which is useless) and that is the main reason why i got a Gear Live and not a Gear 2 .. the good thing about the Gear 2 is that you can pair it with your wireless headset and play music that you have stored on the watch itself also the audio feedback from the watch is a good feature. but for that the hardware is in the Gear Live and might be one day able to pair it directly to your headset + it has the same amount of storage to save music on the watch.
