What's great about it: The case has plenty of room for the GPS power cord, lined to prevent scratches, semi padded, and compact.
What's not so great: A little tight to remove GPS but no big deal.
Very nice case with extra compartment. Very compact but roomy. It fits in glove compartment easily. It fits quite a bit of extras such as the power cord, USB cable, vent clip, and mount with no problem. Feels very durable. Semi water repellant. Highly recommend..

What's great about it: Ability to mount it to keep window clear. Sturdy. Holds GPS very secure.
What's not so great: Pricey for a mount, Made of plastic
Overall this mount is awesome but it does have some issues. For one it's made out of sturdy plastic but who knows how long it will last. Love the rubber lined clamps and support stand. Make sure to hold mount down before removing the GPS or else you will pull it out of the vent.

What's great about it: Ease of use, GPS Accuracy,Price, Quick rerouting, Slim design.
What's not so great: Short Battery life, inabilty to delete searches. Internal storage amount, limit on external storage amount
GPS is awesome using it with vent mount. Love the features and quick access to important menus. Would like to be able to delete all previous searches for it stores many of them in some hidden area that takes up valuable memory space. Been a few months now working great. Reroutes in about 3-5 seconds in my experience. Glare resistant, bright screen. Volume and directions are loud and clear.

Which is better?
I had a Garmin nuvi 2557LMT which went south traffic info wise. I then got a Tom Tom that got so many bad reviews, I didn't even open the box, and got the 2555. All rave reviews. I tried it for the first time today, and it gave me conflicting info on a very important interchange. Naturally, I chose the wrong one, and ended up in horrible traffic which it didn't even warn me about.
Did I not register the 2557 correctly and or is the 2555 and 2557 a suck egg unit? It's going back tomorrow.

In my experience traffic has been a GREAT help on the 2557. You do have to be in an area where traffic reporting is provided . I do not have the direct link but Garmin has a map of available traffic reporting cities. Mostly large metro cities. As for the maps I would advice updating it first thing upon receiving it. No big deal takes about 30 mins. on 10 Mbps connection. I do suggest buying a 4 gb or 8gb micro sd card for them or complaining to garmin. (they'll send you one) The memory fills up fast when doing multiple map updates, which is every 4 months or so they issue out.
