I would continue to purchase this for regular customers who are having issues with signal strength in their location.
*this item does not effect signal continuity, which is a service provider issue.

What's great about it: Leonardo's drug induced performance
What's not so great: The man behind the story...
Good movie, but overrated and oversold. Just goes to show how sharks feed on the little fish and how wolves stalk sheepish people.

What's not so great: Ink Prices
Great printer for home office, family.
I recommend HP printers for their durability and feature set, but in comparison to other printers, their ink prices have increased, as the volume of the cartridges has gone down. It is an industry trend, but HP seems to be leading the way for costly ink/cartridge replacement.

I need to know what I need to run a cable from my internet reciever to my Dish reciever for TV on demand and movies on demand...
It should just be a standard Ethernet cable, the same type you use to connect your computer to the router.
Typically, this just means ur Dish receiver and Internet router need to be near each other to support the physical cable connection.

What kind of USB cable do I need for a Cannon Pixma Ma472 wireless printer, copier and fax?
I bought one recently and I thought it would be in the box, but it was not. Any help?
I looked up the MA but all I could find was an MX 472.
Even in the Quick set up guide it does show a USB cable as part of the standard accessories that came in the box (image 1).
You should return it and get a new one then make sure the cable is in the box before you leave the store.

what is the range on this device
The real answer is "possibly" based on the thickness of the walls and if it is "solid" or not, but the extender should solve your problem - try it if not - return it.

I visit my mother who does not have Internet and need to extend the signal from my brothers house next door which is maybe 100 yards to 150 yards is there an extender to do that and if so would I put it in his home or my mothers?
Put it in your brothers house (set it up) - then go to grandmas and see if you can see the WiFi network (whatever ur brother named it) from there.
If it shows up, ur good.
If not - you might need a stronger extender or could consider upgrading your router to a class-N network, if the router doesn't support that band. (contact ur service provider for a new router).
I believe the extender (or a comparable good strong one) should solve ur needs.

where should i put the device next to my router or the opposite side of the house
This device is to be placed in-between the router and wherever the dead spot is you are trying to cover.
Take into account walls (wood, concrete, Sheetrock, etc) - physical structures impede the signal strength. You Will want this device on the strong side of the router signal. It will the boost the signal through the offending obstacle(s).

will it work connecting to cisco router?
will this work if i use my cisco router to this netgear wi fi range extender?
Yes, this will work with any router because the network protocols are the same on any router with comparable bands (a,b,n,g)

Support more than one extender?
We've used this for upstairs signal weakness but I would also like to have one on the interior wall closest to the back yard. Can more than one extender be paired? I'm guessing yes but would like to know for sure before purchasing.

WiFi extender
My router is on the roof of a shop about 100 metres from our boat. On my nexus7 tablet I get about 1mps and on the laptop using a rocket antenna about 5mps. Can you tell me if you make a range extender we could use on the boat at this range that would boost the signal and give us more MPs to watch YouTube and videos on the net. We are in France and are using SFR as our internet provider. Cheers Pete
Yes, a range extender will help you. You could even buy 2- putting 1 in your shop (maybe close to a window) and the second on the boat. This will help create 2 zones where the signal strength will be greater.
Start with 1, then see if you need to buy a second. You've already done a great job because you understand what your current strength is. Comparing it to the new setup will be easy and you'll know if it is having the desired effect almost immediately.

is there a way to scan slides
Typically you will need a professional slide scanner to RIP slides to electronic format. Reason is, you are ripping negatives, so there is more involved in the interpretation of the data as well as the output is to film (not paper).
Go find your local Kinkos, CVS/RiteAid or even Staples. Give them a call for your slide negatives. They should have a device to support your needs.
