What's great about it: Light weight powerhouse
What's not so great: High price
Working on the road I can compile reports, deliver presentations, maintain contact with email, family and watch a movie when I get back to the hotel.
This product is... responsive touch screen, Good sound quality, easy to set up, lightning fast, Perfect for Business, Variety of apps available, Sharp graphics, Easy to navigate, Great screen size, Comfortable to hold, blue tooth compatible

Is there a power connection to run from 12V source in car for continuous operation instead of depending on internal battery?

The Apple mini connector to USB will connect to most new vehicles.
If you don't have a Us connector in your vehicle you can purchase a standard vehicle power connector with a USB charging point for only a couple dollars.
