I have owned the Mac Power Book and Macbook Pro. They were great laptops. I was originally skeptical about going to a smaller screen and not having the CD drive component. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoy the smaller device. It is much easier to transport as it is lighter as well as smaller. My family purchased an external CD drive for me, which is convenient for anyone in the family to use.
I typically use my home laptop for searching the web, email and storing photos. We also have an Apple tv and I am now able to send from the MACBOOK Air to the TV.! I would recommend the MACBOOK Air for anyone who uses their laptop similarly.

I find the fit bit Zip easy to use and very motivating. The phone app tells when me I am close to my goal and encourages me to get more steps in. I like knowing the daily calorie spent. I do use another app to monitor my food intake. I tried using a different product and didn't like it, Love this one!! Bought one for my daughter as well. The Best Buy employees are knowledgeable about their products and helpful when choosing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

does fitbit work without smart phone?
I know the fitibit counts steps, calories burned, etc.. but does it work without a smart phone?
Yes. You can set it up on your computer. I didn't use the smart phone app initially.
