We got this for my mom as a replacement to an old Gateway machine. As a former Service Desk tech, I've always been partial to Dell b/c of their service and ease of repair/replacement. Outside of that, this is a regular ATX tower and definitely has room for upgrades at a later date, if needed.

Overall, this has the features/look we wanted in a nightstand alarm clock. However, we discovered that it wasn't designed that well and finally gave up after our 2nd one (returned the 1st one).
The spring loaded lighting connector is a great idea in theory, but all of the movement related to docking and removing the phone ended up damaging a connection inside the phone on our 1st one. We exchanged it and now have the 2nd one in our guest room b/c the lighting connector twisted and we didn't want it to break from everyday use.
We don't abuse our phone chargers, but let's be honest: No one takes the time to carefully and precisely line everything up an carefully set it on the dock/clock. Instead, you reach over and maneuver it onto the dock when your done with it, and then grab it off the dock in the morning. It should be able to withstand this better.
Overall, the clock is pretty good, but the fact that the connector doesn't seem to hold up to normal wear and tear made us go back to regular Lightning cables and wall chargers. No issues at all in the past year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It works well and has good sound, but was hit and miss with my wife's work laptop/Skype for business setup. It worked most of the time, but occasionally people could not hear her (headset was not muted and volume was up).
I think this would be perfect for a lot of people; business or gaming.

We mostly use this for smoothies and similar beverages, but we've found that it works really well as a whisk replacement, too. It destroys ice like you wouldn't believe, so use it for frozen adult beverages (start at the top of the cup and slowly work to the bottom)!

I have an older version of this mouse that my wife "stole" for her work laptop, so I needed another one. I love this mouse b/c the laser tracks on most surfaces, the scrolling wheel is weighted (inertia wheel), so you can get to the bottom of documents or long web pages in a hurry. You can also press the wheel in (like a button) if you want to limit the scrolling to a few lines at a time.
It has the forward and back button right near the thumb rest so it is convenient and ergonomic.

I did a lot of research (forums and site reviews) and found that the pioneer speakers were a favorite for a less expensive, quality audio experience. I already had one SP-C22 as my center channel, and decided I wanted 2 more to use as right and left channels based on my entertainment center configuration. My other option was to either buy short bookshelf speakers, or lay a pair of bookshelf speakers on their side.
I decided to go with the Pioneer centers for my L & R channels, and haven't looked back since. They sound great, and have a slightly higher sensitivity than the correlating Pioneer bookshelf speakers. I have them sitting end to end, similar to a large soundbar, and they work exactly as I'd planned. Highly recommended.
Be sure you note the measurements as these are much larger than a lot of the compact/small speaker systems. However, you won't be disappointed with the sound at this price point.

Is there any additional equipment or cords that I need to purchase to use this speaker with my current surround system?
What is your current sound system? You asked a pretty vague question, but this speaker will need the same as most others: speaker wire and an amp/AVR to power them.
