Knock offs of this product don't work. It has a built-in stand so that you can wrap the cord around it. Use it. If you don't, you run the risk of snipping part of the cord in a zipper and then you will be buying another of these. Overall it's a good piece of equipment.

The price, picture, apps, and ease of use makes this 4K TV, a home run. For $799, there is almost nothing that is as competitive. You can download an LG app to your iPad or phone and use it as a remote. I have had the LG for about a month and still learning. This unit has not changed very much since its inception and that is because it's a work horse and a work force. You can't go wrong with the price either. Mine wouldn't print color any longer and so after 5 years, it was time to replace it.

It's not the Roku 4 and it costs more. The Roku 4 had an optical output, and the Premier + doesn't have one. I think the Roku 4, which has been discontinued, is much better than the Premier + and was about the same price. If you buy the Premier + to play in 2 zones, it won't. And buying an audio extractor or de-emebedder won't work either. You will have to buy one with an optical output and then buy a D/A converter too. The Roku 4 had a better picture too than the Premier+.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Will this new version of Roku or any of the older versions work with a DSL connection? I don't have high speed internet. I'm really interested in this product but im unsure if it will work without a high speed internet connection.
A DSL connection still uses a router in order to assign IP addresses to all ethernet devices. A DSL connection is slow and you may experience really slow load
times. You should do a speed test on your computer of your DSL connection: speedtest.com

If I choose to use the Ethernet cable to go hard wired, does the device still need to be plugged into the HDMI port?
The ethernet cable is the internet connection, only. The HDMI connection is for video and audio, only. You can buy a Roku without the ethernet connection (LAN) for wireless use only but you need the HDMI port or you won't see or hear anything.

It streams other networks channels like Netflix and Amazon video. DirecTV is a competing service and does not stream Neflix and Amazon - it streams what it
offers; however, they are pretty much the same. You may want to call a Cable provider in your area and compare pricing. Typically you will save money by

Will the Roku premier plus work with a Sony Bravia XBR TV?
Why would you ask? Any Sony XBR Bravia will have an HDMI input. The Roku Premier + has accommodations for 1080P and 720P. So I don't see
what is the problem. This Roku Premier +is connected to a ten year old Samsung and has no problems. Now, one thing you should be aware of and that is if you are using
this Roku product in two zones, the audio will not work in the second zone without an audio extractor.
