Bought his for my daughters (3 and 8) since our old children's tablet died. This has been great so far, both kids as well as my wife and I have been using it for 5 months now. it has been the most stable of any tablet we've owned so far. My wife and I use it in lieu of a laptop in the evenings. It's pretty light weight....lighter than our older Samsung Tab Pro. Battery is comparable to all our other tablets, so I'd say it's average as far as life on a full charge goes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this as a Christmas present for my 6 year old daughter so it can grow with her and she can do Stride Academy at home. She loves it, hasn't had any problems with it, and best of all it has the kid lock which allows you to select what apps they have access to. It also doesn't close out the kids up when you restart the device, it comes back up and kids mode. My wife used at some to just play a couple of games, video Skype and surf the net, but we haven't seen any lag. Overall it's great. Only problem is that finding a hard device specific case is a nightmare as Samsung cancelled this one some time mid or late 2014. Other tha. That, it's awesome.

Can I access the kindle content from my kindle that died on this Samsung tablet?
You can, as long as your content was backed up to the cloud before it died. The content that would be available, to my understanding, would only be your books and other items in your library. I do not believe there would be a way to retrieve say pictures or MP3's you downloaded from the web directly to it. Your items that restored to it would have to come from the cloud. That would mean installing the Amazon Kindle app to get your books back, and say the Amazon music app to get your purchased content your items that restore to it would have to come from the cloud. to get back your purchased and/or your cloud content you would need the Amazon Kindle app to get your books back, and say the Amazon music app to get your MP3s back.

Free Storage
How much actual usable storage is there? I know with Galaxy S4 there was a big problem with the 16 GB models because you could only use about 7 GB.
I believe it had about 13GB available before we added any apps internally.

What is the warranty situation on this tablet ?
I heard that this tablet sold by Best Buy, is not covered by the standard samsung warranty. Is that true ? If not, can someone please explain the warranty included with this Samsung galaxy tab pro 8.4. What is the duration ? What is covered ? etc.

How long does the battery last before it has to be replaced ?
Lets say you use it for around 4 hours everyday watching videos and browsing the net.
Around 7 hours so far. My daughter has intermittently watched Disney streaming on hers and played various games on and off since getting it (and being on vacation) and that's about what she's been getting. This is over wifi (not the 4g option). If you mean actual hours/months/years/whatever that the battery will last....I'll tell you when it dies.
