These speakers are amazing after using the play 1 I quickly bought the play 3 and they work flawlessly. The sound is outstanding too!

use with tv

is there a way to wifi the sound to this speaker for tv ,l have fios networkwhich allows me to watch tv on ipad ,so instead of using tv speakers use sonos
Sense you are using an apple product to play the TV channel you want you could stream the audio to the sonos by using an AirPlay adapter such as the Airport Express plugged In to the AUX port of the sonos. So on ur iPad whenever you play the video you could tell the iPad to stream to the AirPlay adapter which would be connected to the sonos.

Desktop computer with music or podcasts

W7 desktop computer and wireless router in my office. So if I start playing an album or a podcast from the internet on the desktop, as soon as I turn on the Sonos speaker in, say, the kitchen, I can turn the volume down on the desktop and listen at whatever volume I want in the kitchen with Sonos? No tablet. No music on my smartphone. I'd control it through the Sonos app on my desktop???
As long as you have the sonos app on your desktop then yes you can listen to whatever music you have in your sonos app ( such as local music files or pandora/spotify or any others sonos supports) throughout ur house on any sonos speaker you have.
