I bought these on a whim and put them against some older Infinity towers I own. To my ear these sound clear and have great range. IMO you need a sub to get rumbling bass along with these. However they still put out pretty decent bass w/o one. Overall the online reviews are correct, for the money I doubt you can find better sounding towers!

Great, right, loud bass for the price. Shakes really well on home theatre & gaming duty. Actually is good on music as well for this price category. Great for new home theatre set up or for someone who wants rumble on the cheap. If you have realistic expectations this will surpass them. Not going down to 20Hz with this 10' system.

It has honestly improved my game. It works very well with razor software. It is only green backlights which is fine for me. You can do macros but this doesn't include the extra macro keys.

Great software, great buttons, awesome customization options, comfortable for righties, could be larger for me as I'm 6'3" with fairly large hands that's why 4 stars instead of 5. If they had a large hands edition I would give 5 stars.

BUILDING SURROUND SOUND
ARE THESE SUFFICIENT TO START A SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM? WHAT WOULD BE NEEDED NEXT, ( Speaker Wise ) also a 5.1 receiver would work?
Yes, these would be the front channel in your situation. Even just these and a receiver would be far superior to tv speakers. Ideally these plus a center channel, 2 surround speakers and a subwoofer would rock your house down for movies and music. GL you are stepping into a fun hobby, you can take it as far as you want, e.g. Some speakers cost over 20k a pair. These speakers in the 5.1 ( has these plus 4 other pieces ) package are like 599 or something and they will rumble your house down if you want.

Is this a good choice of sub woofer with a Denon AVR-S720W? Please list number one choice and why Thank you G
This would work with the black subwoofer pre-out RCA on the rear of the receiver. Based on the price point of your Denon this should fit into that budget category. One of these positioned properly in a small room should give full room LFE for movies and gaming. It will shake the house for sure but not in an extreme manner, this is still reasonable. If you have a larger medium sized room you may need to run 2 of these to get good bass in all seats. If you are only worried about your seat then one of these positioned optimally would do the trick.
