It's helped me in so many different programs, from Photoshop to Maya and other 3D apps, I tried to use it in place of a mouse for a while even and it was OK but I really like the feel of a mouse - but for drawing on the computer, this rocks. The wireless is a great feature too - I hate wires :)
I would recommend this to a friend!

I use this mouse for doing 3D graphics work and I really love that I can adjust the dpi on it with a few clicks and the extra programmable buttons are REALLY handy for those shortcut buttons you always have to press

Can you use it as a basic touchpad with your PC?

Yes you can and it's nice because it supports multi touch so you can pinch two fingers together for zoom, rotate etc,,,

I lost the pen hut not the tablet, is there a way to get a replacement or buy it separately?

Where/how do you get the free software? They didn't ship Photoshop Elements, Autodesk Sketchbook Express, Anime Studio Debut, etc. with my medium pro

From their website - there should have been a card in the box that had a URL to download the free software

Can the Intuos connect to the Internet?

Via wi-fi for example? Also I was wondering if you can download online programs/software to use in the Intuos such as Manga Studio. I know there is the Intuos Manga, but I like the bigger screen sizes from the Intuos Pro line.
No, not with this tablet - it's a drawing interface only - and the wireless is not WIFI, it's just a wireless connection to a computer. There's no screen, only the touchpad surface that you draw on with the special pen
