Was looking for a replacement for my aging Nexus 7. Found this on sale and bought it thinking , since it's 4 years newer, it would be better. Turns out it was much worse. Slow out of the box (which means even slower when you load it up with apps and data), The touchscreen is horrible and wouldn't register half the time, Has a larger than usual amount of bloatware. Much thicker that the Nexus 7 too. Returned it a few days later and my Nexus is still working...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very good quality and good sound. The display is responsive and fairly easy to use. One thing I don't like is that the database you can build for a USB connected storage device full of music is only saved until you turn off your car. That's not bad on a long trip but over multiple short trips during the day it's quite useless.

What's great about it: Measures what its supposed to
What's not so great: Trouble connecting to Windows 8 laptop
Bought this one for my wife. It generally does what its supposed to. Getting it to sync with her Toshiba Windows 8 laptop is a royal pain. Probably Windows 8 fault (it is a piece of junk after all) and not Fitbit but worth mentioning...

Use it every day. Pleasantly surprised by the long battery life (1week +). Syncs with my Nexus 7 easily and the app is quite well designed.
