This boom box was exactly what I wanted for my workshop. It plays AM, FM and I can even connect my old I-Pod to play my favorite music. The only negative is that the reception is not too good for some stations. This was somewhat expected because of the ten-inch concrete foundation walls.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does it have an external antenna?
The AM antenna is built-in. The external FM antenna extends to 19.5" and can be swiveled to get the best reception.
