how do i connect the machine so that i ca use the appliance?

need to clean my sofa so how do i connect which hose to what
The one hose on the side is just there for storage. Take it off, disconnect the other hose from the base, and plug it into the first hose. Then pull the handle off (it doubles as a wand) and attach it to the end of the 2 connected hoses. You can then put the smaller attachments onto the end of the wand (handle). It's now ready to go.
