For my purposes, this is going to be used to call ducks, geese, deer, and other game. one of the great features is the carabiner plus the speaker has great volume!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Does it have to be on "bluetooth " to work.

The first time I used this, I simply plugged it into my phone and it played the pandora music. Now when I try i cant get it to work. Just makes short beep noises. I am charging it right now? Don't kow if thats the issue. I have not used it before this since I got it
Yes it plays without bluetooth on. However with bluetooth on it has a better sound & bass.

How well does it work for shedding dog hair?

My dog is large and constantly sheds, currently I have a rainbow vac, those familiar with this type know that I have to fill it with water (A pain in the butt)

I only have bare wood floors with some grooves in between the planks where stuff gets stuck. Will the brush get in between the planks?

I have the same. If the dirt is loose it should pull it up.
