I'm Using these as surround back channels in a 7.1 setup. But first hooked them up to my
2 channel system to hear them by themselves. Very impressed, could easily be used as fronts in a 5.1 or 7.1. Heard my brother in laws Heritage line Cornwall's in 1980, and have been hooked on Klipschproaudio ever since.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was really impressed w the audioquest rocket 88 speaker wire, so I'm swapping out all my cables w audioquest . The weakest link in a system is the cables, don't skimp.

Connectors

Which connection works best for these speakers?
Bare wire will work, but I prefer banana plugs.

Should I buy Samsung still??

I'm in the market for a new tv and right now I've narrowed it to this Samsung Plasma tv and a Vizio 60 inch led smart tv. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm leaning to getting the Vizio because of all the options not to mention the 4 hdmi, 2 USB etc... But I still cannot fully commit to the vizio I mean is Samsung worth going for even though it only has two hdmi ? So opinions and advice would be appreciated.
I just purchased this tv I can't say enough obought it, blown away w the picture, it doesn't look fake or weird in any way at all. There is en Eco setting from the factory, turn it off it holds the color back. W that off the picture is stunning. I'm getting another one for the bedroom before there gone. U won't b disappointed.

How can I get sound from the TV to my suround sound stereo system?

I have high quality monster audio cables that ran from my previous 50" Samsung flat panel TV to the stereo receiver and worked perfectly. I installed the new 60" Samsung flat panel TV last night, and hooked up the audio cables exactly the same way as on the last TV, but I'm not getting any sound from the stereo system. Is there an internal setting (via the remote) that needs to be reset to send sound to the audio outputs?
Thanks in advance for your help.
The analog connection on the back r input only. The audio output is a digital optical out.

Home theater installation

Hi
I just got the samsung Model: PN60F5300AFXZA today, and when i am connecting my bly ray player and other devices with home theater it is showing that the device is off, even though it is on.
I had the same home theater set up with another plasma tv of another brand,
when i am connecting this with this tv it is having issues
I pass my bluray player thru my Marantz receiver, and if the receiver is not set to DVD, it will say not connected.

Can I use this for an auditorium presentation?

I can't see why not, it can go extremely bright especially if u put it in dynamic mode.

Will it work with my Bose V30 surround sound system 5.1?

If so, can you please tell me how/where will I make the connections .. I plan to use my current Optimum TV Cable box (presently connected through HDMI cable) and a Blu ray dvd player (presently connected through HDMI cable) with this TV of course along with the Bose surround sound receiver hopefully!
Thank you for your help.
It does have an optical digital audio output.

I have a 3 year old, 50" version

I have a 3 year old, 50" version of this Samsung plasma. 6 months ago we started to notice a very slim vertical line running the full length of the screen (near the center). It starting out just showing up occasionally then progressively got worst and now the line is always there. Then it started to develop another slim vertical line and now it is up to 3 vertical lines! I've tried everything and every adjustment in the settings but lines are still present. Any suggestions!! We love this TV and picture quality and hate that this problem has occurred!
Might b dead pixels:(

future repairs after plasma production stops

I am thinking about purchasing a Samsung plasma. What will happen if it needs repairs in the future if plasma is obsolete? I plan on getting a 5 year protection plan. I would like the tv to last longer. Will the parts needed to repair be old cast-off materials and why is production stopping?
I'm not shure abought the stockpile of parts for these but my brother has a 50" that is 11yrs old and still looks great. I went with a 2yr plan, I don't think u will have any problems. There is an Eco setting from the factory, turn it off it holds back the color. With that off the color is stunning.
