The Tiles seem to work OK, a bit difficult to coordinate with a partner but after you get past the quirky setup and operation it seems that things will be OK.
One bit of irritation - it seems the "new" item I received was actually opened before and resealed before I got it. Everything seems OK, but it's hard to tell if it was simply an open-box or possibly used or refurbished. Disappointing.
So, I'd recommend it OK, but with the caveat to check the packaging before leaving the store.

We bought this unit for my Mom's new NUC setup. It's nice that she won't have to worry about any power fluctuations or short outages and it's even nicer that this unit has the feature that allows you to plug something in after an outage occurs instead of only the devices already plugged in. It's working great, now if only Windows would be as reliable.

LG - Heart Rate Monitor - Black
This LG FR74 monitor comes with earbud headphones, so you can easily listen to music while keeping track of your heart rate, heart rate zone, time, distance, speed, cadence, pace, consumed calories and cardiovascular fitness (VO2Max).

OK, they're nice Bluetooth headphones, but you can get nicer headphones for less. Check your app store before buying these as they are likely no longer supported. I had great ideas about using these for my parents fitness program and since we use LG Nexus 4 smartphones, what could go wrong? yep, even tho' they're LG and we use LG, these don't work on the N4 phones for their primary purpose - heart rate monitors and all the other info the LG app is supposed to track - can't track it if it won't work in your phone.. LG falls prey to the same marketing devices most other companies do - push it out and see if it sells, then provide support - maybe.
So, as far as headphones go these are OK. The sound is nice for podcast listening and occasional music, but the reproduction is a bit tinny (very little low end/bass). Then there is the little in-ear-keeper, I believe they're called sharks (?). I know why and it's not because of the fin-like appearance, but - after about 5 minutes it feels like there's a shark attached to your ear by its teeth. After only a short time, these are pretty uncomfortable and after more than 10 minutes they were painful. I tried each of the different sized keepers and none worked comfortably, though they were very effective at keeping the phone in my ear for light exercise like jogging and cycling. I wish I had been able to check them out before the return period had expired - I would have returned them. (bought two sets for companion exercising)

How long does the backup system run if it is connected to a home security system?
that's entirely variable depending on how much load the security system places on the backup. To get a better answer, I believe APC / Schneider Electric has an online tool to help you select which model is best for you ( a UPS Selector ) and you can also chat with their support crew to get a good idea.

can i use the battery backup with a hdtv?
certainly, as long as your total load doesn't exceed the rating of the unit. Our living room HDTV and PVR setup are connected to battery backups. It's nice that when the lights flicker or go out, we can continue watching the program without interruption. If the outage becomes extended, it's important to pay attention to how much battery life is left and not leave it until too late.
