At the time of purchase, this coffee was offered at a great price. The taste is great, expiration codes were reasonable. I often buy my Kcup coffee at Best Buy. How weird, huh, an electronics store supplying my coffee.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amazon - Fire TV Stick - Black
Amazon - Fire TV Stick - Black
Amazon Fire TV Stick connects to your TV's HDMI port. Just grab and go to enjoy Netflix, Prime Instant Video, Hulu Plus, YouTube.com, music, and much more.

Hmmm. Which streamer (Fire, Roku, Chromecast)

I own all three streamer. In roku, I have the 2xs and the stick, chromecast stick and now the Fire stick.
All are easy to install and use. Here is the difference:
1. Chromecast (a Google Product): Allows you to stream content using your Android or iPhone to your TV's HDMI port. There is no remote, your device is your remote (Tablets included). The main services, are Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Pandora, IHeart Radio, Vevo TV, and others. Basically, you can use your phone, tablet, or Chrome browser from your computer to throw the program at your TV. It then plays from the stick and does not drain your battery from your device during playback. There are a bunch of developers who make apps for the chromecast, some are useless and some are practical, but if you are looking for a ton of choices beyond Netflix, Hulu, YouTube and music, at this time although, Chromecast is a great product, it falls short in the programming department. And yet you can toss images from your google connected drive or device to the TV as well (Slide show).
2. Roku (2xs older model puck, or Stick): Roku comes with a remote control and also an app can be downloaded that you can run from your phone or tablet. Roku, simply has the most channels to add to the device, some are pay channels, some are private channels, not published to the public. Roku has been around the longest and has all the basic channels, such as Netflix, Hulu and all the others (Pandora, Vevo). Actually there's over 1000 channels, trust me you'll never watch them all, but its fun to see whats out there. Everything from How to, to religion, sports, games, holistic teaching, news, (this list keeps going). Roku also uses your WiFi to tap into the streaming service. The roku software is simple, open a channel and pick the program within the channel to watch. There are some apps to stream content directly from your device to the Roku, I found them to be a little jerky at best. Roku requires a credit card enabled account for initial setup. I have never in 4 years been charged for anything, however, if I choose to download pay content, they would use the credit card for that. You can enable password before purchase for this feature. I find the batteries for the Roku to be the fastest draining. However, the remote has a good feel, except for the 3 branded service buttons they added to the newer models.
3. FIRE TV: Very similar to Roku, but featuring better gaming and speed than either of the other streamers. Requires you to pair your Amazon (or set up an) account. Get a free month of prime to test out the service. This was my latest purchase and I made some striking discoveries. You can use the streamer without paying Amazon for anything. They offer all the same services, as well as HBO programming (not all HBO programming), but I did not like the menu, I found it to be confusing, when you look at a show, instead of cleanly showing a season and it's episodes, it strings them all in a line and you have to scroll all the way to the side to get to the next season, where on Roku, the device shows a season and just the episodes for that season, it is just a bit better organized. So you are asking, what did I find. I found that Amazon doesn't really offer much more than Hulu, or Netflix if you already have those subscriptions like me. Amazon will actually open Hulu for some of the episodes, which really annoyed me since Amazon actually charges extra if you are not a Hulu subscriber. Amazon will also charge for more recent episodes of programs that Hulu offers as part of the regular package.
I like all 3 streamers, go for best price, they are all basically the same. If you own a SMART TV, don't waste your money, that's what the streamers already to. But the streamers are completely portable. Pull it out of the HDMI port, bring it to a friend or family's house and as long as you have the WiFi password; log in and it will work.
Alot of people ask this question, what is the difference between HULU, Netflix, and Amazon?
1: HuluPlus ($90 annual): Next day TV. Watch your favorite network show the day after it airs. Saturday Night Live? Watch it Sunday, Monday etc. The Voice? Catch the singers after the season ended. There's History, Smithsonian, A&E, and some others (with limited recent programming, but plenty to watch). Litterally zillions of shows. Kids and family adult programming. Commercials are shown during most network programs (NBC, CBS, ABC, etc.). Hulu offers original programming as well, most of it is decent quality.
2. Netflix: ($108 annual) Movies, TV shows, original programming (House of Cards, Orange is new Black, Arrested Development, and others), most of the movies did not come out yesterday, they are about 2 years old. TV shows are obviously not recent episodes. Basic service allows you to watch on two screens simultaneously (one on streaming stick, one on laptop or tablet).
3. Amazon: ($99 annual, but comes with PRIME 2 day shipping with all orders): Some original programming, older but recent movies, TV programs from various networks, both cable and regular networks, but less recent episodes, unless you want to pay for a recent rental.
All 3 services just mentioned can also be streamed to your laptop, phone, tablet, WiFi TV, Xbox, if you are already a member.
I don't have cable by choice. I run a 10mb HDSL line from my provider to my home (which is just fast enough - but not if multiple people are streaming simultaneously in your home). I buy myself a gift certificate for HULU and Netflix every year and give it to myself. This way I have a year of programming with no billing (of course credit card on file is required for all the pay services). I watch OTA (Over the Air) TV for day to day programming. There is more than enough to keep me busy, not to mention Xbox for Video game entertainment.
All 3 streamers offer Amazon Prime TV and video services, however, this is a $99 annual paid fee to watch.
The main issue I found with all the streamers is that you need a bunch of logins to service. Such as one for netflix, one for Hulu, etc.. etc. Sometimes, they ask you to log into your main account to link the device to your account, this can be tedious if you have a bunch of streaming devices like me (Roku, Fire, Chromecast, XBOX, Cellphone, WiFi TV's, etc). Each one needs to be registered with the service (once).
All services require a decent Wifi signal. If you are too far away from the source your service may be non existent or buffer a lot.
Hope all this info helps you make a decision and understand the crazy tech we are faced with these days.
N-Joy

Not the best device in the world but there's a lot of potential. Inexpensive and works with smartphones and connected computers. Requires a common Wi-Fi connection (meaning same login in same location for all devices - you can not use 4G, or LTE, must be Wi-Fi). You can stream major services such as hulu, Netflix, YouTube, crackle, songza, hbo, and some others, but subscriptions to those bigger services are usually needed, which you can just sign in from on your phone to access. Now the app allows you to cast your screen directly to your tv for sharing photos and apps, unfortunately, the lag time causes some problems with smooth video/audio, however this does not happen when you are watching hulu or Netflix, only when casting your phone's screen directly. Just a little bigger than a USB drive using HDMI to connect to your tv, it is super portable. I own Roku, Chromecast, and have Wi-Fi tv's. I have not tried fire tv yet. The only reason why this is a four star review is because not enough apps offer casting capabilities. There are a lot of programmers making apps for this in the play store. I bought one that allows one to draw on your phone or tablet and cast the image to the screen like a white board, and even save the image, it's called castpad, my 4 year old Bruce played with that when she visited, look ma, no messy pens and crayons and papers, lol. I have no cable, no satellite, no landline, just internet. This tool is part of my entertainment arsenal.

What's great about it: easy
What's not so great: bad voice acting, a little too easy
Got this on sale, was mildly amusing. This platformer is not challenging. There are very few puzzles. Even the boss levels are doable. Weapons lock on and help you defeat enemies. Was entertaining, but I see no replay value for me. But a kids could conceivably play this over and over again. Voice acting is not always consistent. Enjoyed it though.

What's great about it: Very responsive CPU speed and touchscreen
What's not so great: edge border is hard to hold without pressing stuff
I'm typing my review on the device. I really enjoy the solid manufacture of this tablet however as a manufacturing feature request I would have added some texture to the back plate of the tablet to make it easier to grip. However, by adding a cover made for this tablet it is now is easier to hold, and all the features work through this cover.the setup was very simple and Samsung has done a great job at porting applications from my phone which is also Android, to this device. battery life is more than acceptable however if you have a lot of applications running in the background like any Android device your battery will drain. When comparing processor speed to my 2 1/2 year old Android phone this device clearly shows the processor speed the same apps on both devices. my only major complaint how to do with the edge space on this device, I'm referring to the space on the edges of the tablet to grip on next to the touch sensitive glass. I find that my fingers accidentally can press on the tablet where I did not want to, which can make Web pages leave or videos are when didn't intend for to happen. This happens accidentally with menu and back to. This is really my only major complaint but minor, however minor because this device has virtually replaced my laptop. Finally, I use Google Cloud for printing. Using this app allows me to print from the tablet through my laptop from anywhere I have internet access. My laptop has to be on at home and the printer powered and connected for this to work. I'm telling you this because this has extended the usefulness of the tablet without having to buy a new wireless printer. All in all, I'm pleased with my purchase. Graphics are nice and does the nifty I things bought it for. Camera could use a few more megapixels, but takes good pictures.
This product is... responsive touch screen, Good sound quality, easy to set up, lightning fast, Perfect for Business, Variety of apps available, Sharp graphics, Easy to navigate, Great screen size
About me... Basic web surfing & emails, Technology guru, Gamer, Comfortable with technology

Will it work with a SmartBoard?

I am a teacher and would like to use it to project my iPad to my Smart Board. Is this possible?
There is a great app called castpad on the chromecast that will allow you to do this. The app is like $0.99. I have all three devices, this (the Google Chromecast) would be the best solution to your need.

multiple t.v useage

If I bought one for each t.v in my house could I watch a different show on each t.v using the same tablet/phone/PC?
Hypothetically yes, although, you will not be able to watch 2 or more Netflix out hulu shows simultaneously because the app only allows you to cast to one screen (or one device - chromecast). But the hypothetical is that if you were casting from hulu to one device and Netflix to another device, using the same phone/tablet. As long as each service points to a separately named cjromecast, this can be done. (Pause.... trying this right now on 2 of my chromecasts)... and the answer is... YES. As long as the apps are independently run, each casting to a separate chromecast device (and provided your broadband can handle the multiple video streams) no problem and worked perfectly on 3 devices simultaneously. The evil thing I thought about is that this could be an effective control over lights out for a kid, when it is decided you want to stop a stream and take it out of their control, from a central device. Hope that helps

sites

I watch a lot of TV shows and movies on different streaming sites ie, solarmovies, megashare, primewire etc. Will chrome cast work with these sites? I do also watch lots of Netflix and some YouTube so it may still be worth it for me but it would be nice if it work for my other sites aswell
Yes and no. They recently added CAST SCREEN feature but it's a little jerky and still in beta. If you go to the chromecast product page on Google it will show you the native casting apps. The list has grown a bit since it first was published but still remains s little small. Hulu, Netflix, HBO, YouTube, and some others are definitely included. Bring your subscription from your phone app. If you buy a chromecast and already have those apps installed, after you set up the device, casting is a breeze. Hope that helps.
